Dear member, wow, another month has flown by! As we head into March, it certainly feels like spring is in the air.
The Winter Leagues are wrapping up, and a special shout-out to the Windell League team for finishing mid-table (and not last—what a change!). The Senior Scratch team has had an outstanding winter campaign, finishing in the top half of the league for the first time ever!
Knighton Heath Knockout Trophy 2025
You’re invited to join the squad for the Knighton Heath Knock Out Trophy, which takes place on weekdays throughout the summer.
The team consists of 10 male players, all aged 60 or over on the day of the match. The format is match play, with each match consisting of 10 singles, using the home club’s tees of the day. The maximum WHS index is 17, adjusted for Course Handicap, with a full stroke allowance. Players with a WHS index above 17 are welcome to play, but they will need to assume the maximum allowed index.
We’ve reached the semi-finals in the last two years, and it would be great to go even further this time around!

H.I.T.T Winter League
A reminder that the next round of the H.I.T.T.S Winter League will take place on the weekend of March 22nd/23rd. The final round will be held in April.
Other Leagues
The Hardy A, Hardy B, and South Hants Leagues will kick off in March. Good luck for the season ahead! If anyone still wishes to get involved, please contact the pro shop.
The Masters
One of the greatest tournaments of all time is just around the corner – The Masters at Augusta National! To celebrate the first major of the year, we’ll be hosting the Masters Medal on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 11th, 12th, and 13th. The black tees will be in play for the first time, so let’s hope for a sunny weekend!
Quiz Night
Quiz night is back! A huge thank you to Jan and Steve for hosting the last one. The next quiz will be on Friday, April 11th. It’s £15, which includes chicken, ham, and leek pie with chips and seasonal vegetables.
