July has been an exceptionally eventful month here at Hamptworth, with a flurry of activities and pleasant weather keeping spirits high among our dedicated members.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who participated in the highly successful club championships. It is with great pride that we congratulate Fin Charles and Liz Sorrell on their remarkable victories, earning them the esteemed titles of the 2023 Men’s and Ladies’ club champions.
Additionally, July marked a significant milestone for our club as we organised our inaugural members’ meeting within the welcoming environment of our clubhouse. This gathering provided a platform for our members to share their valuable opinions and gain valuable insights into the future plans of the club. The evening was an overwhelming success, with a fantastic turnout and lively discussions. We eagerly anticipate hosting the subsequent members’ meeting, fostering an even stronger sense of community and collaboration among our valued members.
On the 13th of July, Hamptworth had the privilege of hosting the Senior Men’s and Senior Ladies’ County championships, marking a triumphant return to county golf. This occasion was an immense honour for our club, signifying our growing reputation as a preferred venue for prestigious events. We’re so appreciative of the enthusiastic volunteers who so generously dedicated their time and effort to ensure the smooth running of the championships. Their invaluable support contributed to the enormous success of the day, leaving a lasting impression on both players and spectators alike.
