The second round of the HITT’s Golf League, which was rescheduled, took place in January. While the weather was chilly, a big thank you to all who participated! The third round is coming up on the weekend of February 22nd-23rd.
Spring is just around the corner! With only 54 days until sunset at 7:30 PM, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy 9 holes after work. And in just 64 days, the golf season officially kicks off with the Masters Tournament at Augusta, Georgia! Be sure to keep an eye out for the Masters Medal event at Hamptworth, taking place Friday through Sunday.
Building on the success of our 2024 league teams, we’re excited to announce our sign-up for several 2025 league competitions:
- Hardy A: 0-10 Handicap (Weekend)
- Hardy B: 10-18 Handicap (Weekend)
- The South Hants League (Weekend)
- The Wiltshire League Scratch Team (Weekend)
- The Monty League (Mid-Week)
Any members interested in representing the club in these league matches are invited to register with the Pro-Shop.
Lastly, don’t forget that the deadline for the summer knockouts is March 31st. The competitions include Singles Handicap, Singles Scratch, and Pairs Knockout. To sign up, please contact the Pro-Shop.

Quiz Night
Unfortunately, the Quiz Night on February 28th is now fully booked! We have 90 participants, which is fantastic. The next quiz will be on Friday, April 19th – be sure to book early to avoid missing out!
Comedy Night
We’re thrilled to welcome the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Saturday, May 17th! He’ll be joined by a fantastic lineup of celebrity guests, all hosted by the brilliant and hilarious Mike Osman! Tickets are selling quickly, so contact the Pro-Shop to reserve your table. Tickets are £25 and include an American-style BBQ.
Greenkeeper’s Report
Due to the unpredictable weather recently, our greenkeepers have been working tirelessly to keep the greens aerated and maintained to the highest standard. They are also focusing on digging drainage and ditch lines to ensure water flows away from the playing surfaces and helps keep the greens disease-free.
