The Winter League at Hamptworth Golf Club began with a bang in November, with the Hamptworth Mandem taking an early lead thanks to an outstanding 106 points! Unfortunately, the second round had to be postponed due to Storm Darragh, but don’t worry as it’s been rescheduled for early January, giving everyone a chance to come back refreshed and ready to compete.
On Friday, December 6th, the clubhouse was alive with festive spirit as Jan and Steve hosted the much-loved Christmas Quiz. It was an evening full of tricky questions, fun rounds, and plenty of laughter. Congratulations to the Charles family, who emerged as champions! Guests also enjoyed a homemade Christmas festive pie, adding a delicious touch to an already fantastic event.
Looking ahead, the Hamptworth Annual Turkey Trot is set to take place on Sunday, December 15th. This much-anticipated event is a highlight of the year, and we’re all excited to see who will be crowned the Paxo winners for 2024. Fingers crossed for good weather to make the day even more enjoyable!

Meanwhile, the golf course is looking spectacular for this time of year. A huge thank you goes to Tim and his hardworking team, who have gone above and beyond to keep the course in pristine condition. It’s safe to say Hamptworth has never looked better during the winter season.
