Hamptworth’s 30th Anniversary
Hamptworth Golf Club recently celebrated a remarkable milestone – our 30th Anniversary! To mark the occasion, we hosted a thrilling Scramble Tournament, bringing together members and friends for a day filled with camaraderie and competition. Blessed with perfect weather, the event saw 130 participants take to the course, highlighting the beauty and challenge of Hamptworth’s beloved greens.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated. Your enthusiasm and sportsmanship turned the day into a true celebration of Hamptworth’s community spirit.
Congratulations to our winning team: Alex Fairhall, Thomas Hatt, Tristan Drinkwater, and Aaron Pellow delivered an outstanding performance, making us proud on this special day.
A Spooktacular Start to the New Quiz Season
Our first Quiz Night of the season was a roaring success!
Set against a Halloween backdrop, the evening brought together 11 competitive teams, all eager to tackle rounds of tricky questions and a special bonus round focused on Hamptworth Estate. The night was full of energy, laughter, and friendly rivalry.
We’re thrilled to congratulate our winning team of Mark Borham, Chris Adams, Shah Talati, and their partners, who claimed victory with an impressive score of 126 points. A big thank you to all teams for making it a night to remember. We’re already looking forward to the next Quiz Night and more chances to test everyone’s trivia skills!
Greenkeeper’s Report – Enhancing and Maintaining Our Course
Our greenkeeping team is hard at work bringing new improvements to Hamptworth. We’re excited to announce progress on the new bunkers on the first hole, a feature that will enhance both the playability and aesthetic appeal of this popular spot. Additionally, our team is conducting small tinning operations over the next few months, ensuring the greens remain in top-notch condition.
A huge thank you to our greenkeepers for their dedication, and to the weather for cooperating! We look forward to many more rounds on our well-kept, beautiful course, and we’re grateful for everyone’s support as we continue making Hamptworth a fantastic place for golf and community.
